The infant/toddler teacher administers all Early Head Start Center Teaching programs to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and CAA policies.

*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
_Under General Supervision_: The Infant/Toddler Teacher
* Designing and implementing learning environments that engage children's senses and promote their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
* Providing support and guidance in the development of goals, objectives, and strategies within the IFSP framework.
* Selecting and implementing age-appropriate reading programs and activities that support language development, literacy skills, and a love for reading in toddlers.
* Creating and implementing strategies and activities that empower parents to actively participate in their child's learning and development.
* Coordinates, schedules and documents parent-teacher conferences and home visits.
* Ensuring that the learning environment meets safety standards and guidelines by conducting regular safety inspections and maintaining checklists.
