Food Products Operations Supervisor

We are excited to announce a Food Products Operations Supervisor opportunity available at our Evendale location.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Directs mixing, production, and packaging on production lines to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
* Ensures compliance with Food Quality, FDA, FSMA FSP’s, GMP, OHSA General Industry Safety Systems and Company Policies.
* Manages food production, traceability, FSMA FSP’s, SOP, SSOP records and file maintenance.
* Supervises, trains, and develops employees and acts as the liaison between employees and the Production Manager.
* Manages employee performance/skills development and assists with performance appraisals.
* Responsible for safety, housekeeping, employee relations, and problem solving.
* Responsible for Master Sanitation Schedule and cleaning chemical training, chemical inventory and compliance.
* Adjusts daily work schedule as needed to meet production requirements.
* Checks product quality, usage, waste, product counts, and weights to assure performance and attainment.
* Measures and monitors KPI’s against established SQF standards.
* Reviews and maintains accurate employee production time reporting.
* Reviews and/or prepares and assures accuracy of various operational reports.
* Participates in and supports Global Food Safety Initiative programs, implementation, and compliance.
* All other duties assigned by management.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * Strong comprehensive knowledge of – and experience in operations, continuous improvement, employee relations, team building and process optimization.
* Ability to interact and effectively communicate cross-functionally.
* Experience in high-speed packaging of Ready-to-Eat products that utilize form/fill/seal packaging operations.
* Experience conducting internal audits for compliance standards.
* Awareness of GFSI / SQF, BRC standards.
* Skills to effectively work on both the production floor and in a managerial capacity.
* Knowledge and understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
* Extensive experience in food processing is essential.
