gov Housekeeping Manager 2 (240001LD) Job Duties The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
What We Do: OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7.
Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments.
We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

92 per hour Annual step increases each year with an additional longevity supplement after 5 years of service What You'll Do: Plans & manages entire housekeeping program & supervises housekeeping staff for 300 bed facility: develops & implements policies & procedures, daily inspects areas of facility to monitor quality assurance & to assure all health & sanitation standards (e.

) & other regulatory agency standards (e.

Joint Commission) are met, initiates work orders for correction, maintains Quality Assurance (QA) levels & corrects deficiencies; supervises custodial workers (e.
g.
schedules & conducts staff meetings, provides in-service training on policies & procedures, prepares schedules & work assignments, conducts annual competency & performance reviews, initiates disciplinary action, interviews job applicants, trains new employees.
).
Catalogs & records: conducts inventory, orders & monitors inventory control of laundry & housekeeping supplies, linen, materials & equipment, prepares weekly & monthly reports, prepares & monitors housekeeping allocations; meets with vendors concerning housekeeping equipment & products.
Performs related duties: maintains communication with other department managers to coordinate housekeeping assignments for special events, holiday celebrations, etc.
; attends meetings, mandated in-services, & workshops; serves on committees.
Performs routine & emergency cleaning duties: assists staff to maintain efficient operation of department by performing sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing & buffing cleans furniture, fixtures & equipment, makes minor repairs to equipment.
Preform all other job-related duties as assigned.
