Banquet Cook
Principal responsibility is to prepare and cook selected menu from standard recipes to provide all guests with an exceptional experience for contracted events at The Madison Event Center.

The Madison Event Center is an industry-leading event space for weddings, corporate events, and similar occasions.
Over two decades we have successfully hosted thousands of events.
Our events are planned with our Details Specialists and executed by our Operations Managers and banquet team.
Menu selections and event details are final at least 10 days prior to the event allowing for flawless execution and an exceptional experience for our guests.
Duties:
Daily preparation and proper management of food
Daily cleaning, sanitation, organization, and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils
Receiving new stock with proper rotation of all old stock
Food preparation list development
Executing and delivering all food to proper outlets in a timely fashion
Maintaining dish area in a sanitary fashion including washing, sanitizing, putting dishes away, sweeping, and mopping
Work with all team members on daily tasks
All other duties assigned
Schedule:
Scheduled hours will vary, a minimum of 32 hours each week
Qualifications:
Basic kitchen knowledge, ability to read and follow recipes
Knife skills, sanitation, and proper kitchen etiquette
A positive and upbeat attitude and work well with all team members
Must be 18 years of age
Preferred Serv-Safe Certified
Must be able to work unsupervised
Must be able to work weekends
Punctual
Excellent oral communication and listening skills
Ability to follow directions and remain organized
Be willing to work until the job is complete and perform other duties assigned
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time
Be able to reach, bend, and safely lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Uniform Requirements:
Black non-slip shoes with black socks
Clean black pants
Clean short sleeve shirt
