Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control and sanitation and cleanliness.

* Ensure positive guest experience in all areas.
Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
* Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.
* Provide OVER THE TOP service and grow sales through providing outstanding food and preparation.
* Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
* Ensure that all products are ordered according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.
* Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas.
* Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.
* Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of development.
* Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
* Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
* Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
* Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
* Able to supervise up to 10+ employees per shift.
*Qualifications*:
* Flexible schedule, particularly for weekend/evening shifts
* Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
* Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.
* Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediter.
* Ability to work 8+ hours on your feet at a time, and carry up to 50 pounds
