Primary Duties : Position responsibilities: Job Knowledge, Safety & Sanitation, Personal Relations, Guest Experience and Operational Standards.
The position requires constant interaction with our Guests to ensure they have a great experience at The Lube®.
At all times, you are expected to be attentive to our Guests needs and to make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Provides servers and Guests with drinks in a consistent and efficient manner, accompanied by attentive and friendly service.
The Bartender achieves success in by effectively accomplishing the following:
· Knows and follows safety guidelines.
· Displays a positive attitude.
· Practices safe food handling and storage.
· Ensures the work area and equipment is clean and sanitized at all times.
· Willingly helps other Team Members when needed.
· Upholds company and brand standards.
· Follows all security guidelines and procedures; alerted shoplifters, walkouts, etc.
· Presents food per company specifications.
· Follows the Steps of Service, From the Green Flag to the Checkered Flag
· Uses salesmanship and incorporates our Renegade TIPS training into work style.
· Visually checks ID’s to determine Guest’s legal age.
Upholds liquor laws.
· Able to work the POS system efficiently
· Ensures all food and drinks served meet our standards of quality and freshness.
· Visually observes Guests and responds to all non-verbal cues.
· Able to pour beer, wine and liquor according to drink specs.
· Excellent communication skills including the ability to entertain bar Guests.
· Handles Guests’ complaints in a professional manner.
Follows steps accordingly.
· Accurately complete payment transactions.
· Maintains bar drawer money in accordance with sales.
· Correctly uses bar tools and bar equipment.
· Clears, cleans and performs table/bar maintenance throughout the shift
· Refills beverages whenever necessary.
· Completes all running, opening and closing side work.
· Gets checked out by management before leaving the building
Education and Experience Requirements :
· Minimum 21 years of age to sell alcoholic beverages
· High school graduate or equivalent is preferred
Physical Requirements: Must be able to :
· Lift and carry cases of food, supplies up to approximate weight of 50 pounds.
· Frequently bend, stoop and reach in order to stock food, service Guests, and maintain equipment.
Must be able to use arms above head/shoulder level.
· Climb a ladder or “step-up” to reach supplies stored in overhead areas.
· Stand/walk for shifts up to eight hours (breaks are provided throughout the shift).
· Perform maintenance duties as required, i.
e.
, cleaning windows, mopping floors, painting, cleaning restroom facilities, collect and dispose of trash, etc.
Requires strength in upper extremities and torso to perform these physical tasks.
· Reach out and bend to operate all safety equipment, i.
e.
, emergency cut-off switch, fire extinguisher, etc.
· Operate all department equipment.
