Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Delhi Post Acute.
In this role, you will provide essential assistance and support to our dietary department in ensuring that our patients' nutritional needs are met.
As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by serving appetizing and nutritious meals.
Responsibilities
· Assist in the preparation and serving of meals for residents and ensure that the food is served in a timely and appropriate manner.
· Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure that meals are prepared accurately and meet dietary requirements.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, dishes, and utensils.
· Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and supplies and submitting orders as necessary.
· Assist in the delivery of meals to residents' rooms and ensure that individual dietary restrictions and preferences are taken into consideration.
· Collaborate with the dietary team in developing and implementing special diets and menu plans for residents with specific dietary needs.
· Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Prior experience in a dietary or food service role is preferred.
· Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
· Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
· Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
· Must have a positive attitude and possess a genuine passion for working with the elderly.
