Under direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor or Manager, the lead attendant will provide supervision for all workers who perform semi-skilled and skilled cleaning duties.
This position is responsible for sanitation, safety, equipment and other items directly or indirectly affecting the Environmental Service employees.
Responsible for all training of new hire associates, documentation and on-going training.
Employee must be able to follow the protocols and procedure for infection control and standard precautions.
Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Perform the same work as those lead.
Assign, monitor/review the task progress and ensure accurate work
Provide instruction so others on the team can complete tasks quickly and effectively.
Lead the day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
Provide technical guidance on more complex issues.
Answer questions, offer insight and organize responsibilities within the team.
Act as a positive example for those working with them.
Inform management of overall performance of team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High school education preferred
Specialized Knowledge:
Good communication skills
Kind and Length of Experience:
1 year experience in Environmental Services and healthcare setting
