The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas in a sanitary, safe and attractive manner in accordance with established Infection Control and Environmental Services (EVS) procedures as trained and directed by the supervisor.
This position ensures the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times while providing exceptional customer service.
In some cases, this position may have to move furniture for floor access or be asked to perform other light cleaning tasks.

Compensation: $12-$14.
25/HR, based on experience.
Shift Available: PRN
Responsibilities:
Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as directed by supervisor, including any areas assigned to.
Follow all Infection Control Protocols when cleaning.
Operate Automatic Floor Scrubber
Clean and shampoo carpets
Maintain equipment and supplies
Assist with striping, buffing, and waxing surfaces
Submit maintenance request of general maintenance concerns or issues that are observed.
Pack up patient belongings when being discharged home or to the hospital.
Participates in all trainings, meetings and in-services as requested.
Other job duties as assigned and appropriate for the position.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses or other required certifications: None
Experience: At least one year experience preferred.
Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:
Ability to operate all equipment used by EVS staff effectively and safely.
Must be able to lift, carry and/or move equipment/supplies throughout assigned areas.
Equipment could occasionally weigh up to 50 pounds.
Must possess a high level of customer service and provide courteous and respectful communications with staff, families and residents.
Must have good verbal and written communication.
May be required to work evenings and weekends.
Must be able to move to different sites.
