Description:
A position in the Sanitation department at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California.
This position is accountable for all aspects of the Sanitation department and Sanitation activities of the facility.
They will coach and lead team members of the sanitation team to ensure all sanitation activities and procedures are correctly followed and implemented.
This position is located in Walton, KY
Requirements:
Supports the Vision, Mission, and Values of the company.
Leads the Sanitation department to ensure that staff is successful and scheduled appropriately; that all cleaning systems and sanitation programs are sufficient and effective.
Works well in both a team and individual environment, maintaining a professional relationship to share information and help others.
Responsible for flashlight audits used to verify all plant sanitation activities are complete and thorough and to assure all lines are ready for the following day’s production.
Accountable to assure all Sanitation staff are working in a safe manner and are using proper PPE during their activities.
Verification that all lines are cleared with ATP and Allergen swabs at the end of each CIP cycle.
Develop and maintain a Master Sanitation Schedule and records.
Maintain and develop SSOP for all equipment, lines, areas, etc.
, to provide effective and efficient of job performance.
Ensure all cleaning equipment and tools are maintained for peak performance and effective cleaning.
Report any apparent issues and recommendations at all times.
Provide support and work in conjunction with Operations to ensure all changeovers are completed properly with exceptional sanitary results.
Study and provide technical assistance to continuously improve methodologies and programs.
Provide support and contribute to any troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Verify employees are adequately trained and executing sanitation activities as defined by SSOPs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge and experience with CIP fundamentals (Chemical Conc.
/Flow Rates/Time/Temp) and systems
Ability to effectively and clearly communicate verbally and written with co-workers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Ability to write, comprehend, and execute SSOP’s.
Ability to investigate sanitation issues, identify root causes and develop and implement solutions.
Ability to use lab equipment to swab lines for ATP and Allergen residues.
Strong desire to learn rapidly with a goal of developing into a management level position.
Ability to work during the day or night.
Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory
Experience in GFSI audit schemes.
Education and/or Experience
High School Education Required/College preferred.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in sanitation, production or related field of foods and beverages manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience managing and developing employees.
