Hotel California by the Sea (HCBTS) is a dual-diagnosis drug and alcohol treatment center located in Cincinnati, OH with other facilities located in Bellevue, WA, and Newport Beach, CA.

HCBTS is looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our outstanding team as a Chef! Job Duties Prepare meals that are healthy, nutritious, diverse, good quality and tasteful, in a safe, sanitary, and professional manner.
Prepare meals to meet the dietary, nutritional, and allergenic needs of the individuals served.
Prepare all food in accordance with culinary guidelines and in a safe, sanitary, and effective manner.
Prepare, handle, label, store, serve, and dispose of all food in accordance with culinary guidelines, Federal and State regulations, State licensing requirements, and The Joint Commission standards.
Perform work duties, tasks, and assignments to ensure the kitchen, property, and eating environment is clean, sanitary, safe, secure, organized, and free of obstructions / clutter.
Perform food / grocery purchases in accordance with the needs of the individuals served and within the allocated budget.
Keep and maintain records of all food / grocery purchases.
Maintain a proper supply of food in storage in accordance with the needs of the individuals served.
Fully performs cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance duties on-time as scheduled and as necessary and appropriate.
Re-stocks items when needed.
Maintain and update the meal menu in advance each week.
Address and resolve food / nutritional / dietary matters and issues that arise in a timely, professional, and appropriate manner.
Involve other Staff as necessary and appropriate to address the matter at hand.
Performs assigned duties, tasks, and assignments to support, enforce, and ensure compliance with treatment program rules, code of conduct, good neighbor policy, smoking policy, and to maintain the drug-free environment.
Reports observations and client issues or concerns to your Supervisor/Manager in accordance with company policies / protocols.
Stay alert at all times while on-duty and available to respond to the nutritional/dietary needs of the individuals served.
Support and promote a treatment environment that is safe, healthful, caring, comfortable, supportive, culturally-competent, and therapeutic.
Comply with the policies and procedures set forth in the HCBTS Employee Handbook.
Attend, participate, and complete all required trainings for your position.
Observe and comply with company policy, HIPAA, and other governing laws and regulations to ensure the confidentiality, privacy, and security of protected health information.
Perform assigned duties and training for compliance with State licensing / certification requirements and TJC accreditation standards.
Perform specific work tasks and duties assigned by your Supervisor/Manager.
Plan, prioritize, manage, and complete Chef duties and responsibilities in a timely, professional, appropriate, and effective manner Employee Name Chef Department Job Classification Supervisor / Manager and effective manner.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience 6 Months Work Experience as a professional chef.
Current Food Handlers Permit/Certificate.
Current CPR / First Aid Certification / Training.
Current PPD and Health Screening.
Current State Driver’s License.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, Training and Experience 1-3 Years Work Experience as a professional chef.
Excellent food preparation and culinary skills.
Good menu and food management skills.
