Basic Function
To provide clean and sanitary ware for residents, guests, and staff under sanitary conditions as directed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform other appropriate related and unrelated assigned duties as called upon.
Skills
Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must be detail oriented and have good communications and interpersonal abilities.
Must have knowledge of elementary math.
Must be certified by a physician as medically capable of performing the duties described for this position.
This position may be required to lift and/or carry items weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

Extreme cold (below 32*) for more than 1 hour at a time

Responds to any additional needs or requests from residents and guests.
Follows HR guidelines and is familiar with policies and procedures for the department and facility.
Follows direction from supervisor.
Follows uniform requirements for specific position.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the work area as directed.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic reading, writing, math and verbal communication skills required.
Experience: Some related professional kitchen experience, preferably in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant, or private club preferred.
Other: Must possess a customer service orientation.
Must conform to personal hygiene and sanitation requirements.
