Overview of BLOC:
We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve.
Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness.
We target neighborhoods that are underserved.
We have a staff size of about 45 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors.

The BLOC Coffee Company is part of BLOC Ministries.
It is a place for people to gather, a place where people can come together, have a conversation over a great cup of coffee, and experience community.

an atmosphere where people can get to know their neighbors and develop relationships with one another, and where we can help strengthen the fabric of the neighborhood.

, following recipes, plating, and cleaning) is essential.
Responsible for:
Prepare menu items
Artistically plating customer orders
Follow recipes and presentation specifications in a sanitary and timely manner
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment according to health codes
Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
Clean and maintain station, practicing good safety and sanitation; assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment; restock items as needed throughout the shift; adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Qualifications / Experience:
Experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred
Excellent communication; superior customer service; high degree of ethics
Proactive approach to problem-solving with a calm, professional demeanor
A demonstrated passion for food preparation
Excellent time management skills; ability to self-direct; detail oriented
High level of organization; excellent time management skills; ability to self-direct
Ability to work well within groups

Pay: $10 an hour plus tips
