A Taste of Belgium Line Cook is Responsible for the daily preparation of all food items in the prep, fry, grill, line, or other areas within the kitchen.
Performs other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate will excel in the following areas
Recipe and SOP Adherence
Follow all recipes and cooking procedures to the specifications set forth by the company
Ensure all food is consistent and recipes are followed
Produce only menu items on prep sheet or those that have been entered in on the POS system
Participate in HACCP and line checks
Food Safety and Sanitation
Demonstrate all food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper hygiene
Maintain clean work station during entire shift
Properly store, wrap, label, date and rotate products
Keep kitchen area and floors clean, dry and free from debris
Assist in the cleaning and deep cleaning of the kitchen area including equipment, coolers and freezers
Clean all equipment, tools, supplies and maintain in good working condition
Teamwork
Perform opening and closing duties to ensure team is set for success
Set up station according to Taste of Belgium guidelines
Restock kitchen line with plates, bowls, etc, throughout and after shift
Culinary Background
Commitment to quality service, including food safety and sanitation
Exceptional egg cooking skills
Experience on grill and saute
