The position will manage and assist in the creation of cleaning and sanitation duties according to Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures and Master Sanitation Schedule.
Carries out specific instructions from Sanitation Director/Manager or designated Quality Manager in accordance with the daily production schedule.
Working Hours: Weekends 6 AM - 6 PM (Friday - Sunday) The Role Oversee the daily duties of staff that include cleaning and sanitizing all production machinery and equipment throughout plant including conveyor belts, screens, filters, kettles, pipes, walls, totes, sanding/ oiling drum, tables, and facility housekeeping including plant exterior, and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
Daily Administrative duties include reviewing, verifying CIP Charts, Pre-Op/Daily Check List Sheets; Ability to maintain an MSS; Ability to maintain (review, update, to meet SQF and FSMA requirements) SSOPs; Ability to execute sanitation validation protocols Assist with Pest Control program management; Assist with Sanitary design in the application of FAT activities.
Development and mentoring of sanitation team; SSOP and Sanitation training.
Maintain overall condition of plant ensuring facility is always “audit ready”.
Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety pre-caution.
Complete the removal and disposal of waste and recycling in an effective manner.
Supervise and monitor all employees for safety adherence, PPE compliance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and plant rules and regulations.
Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP); Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate For business and safety reasons, must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written English.
Minimum of 6 months leadership experience.
Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically, written, oral, presentation, listening, and facilitation skills.
Ability to facilitate change, foster innovation and results.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and develop effective solutions.
Ability to read and follow documents (Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods) Knowledge of GMP and Quality systems.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs and frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
