Driver - Non Emergency Medical Transport

*NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION DRIVER* *QUALIFICATIONS* * Must be at least 25 years of age or older (Insurance Requirement) * Valid Drivers License * Clean Driving Record * Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation or related field is preferred * Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and DOT Physical * Familiarity with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements and sensitivity to the needs of individuals with disabilities * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to lift and secure mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, as needed * Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally * Knowledge of local roadways and geography * Punctuality and reliability are essential *RESPONSIBILITIES* * Safely transport seniors and people with mobility challenges to/from hospitals, doctor appointments, senior living facilities, family gatherings, etc.
* Ability to push clients in wheelchairs as well as get them into van * Ensure all passengers are carefully secured in our customized wheelchair vans * Performing pre and post inspections of vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition * Having empathy and being able to treat all passengers with dignity, respect and honor * Always being aware of passenger needs * Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, healthcare providers and dispatch personnel.
Ensure all clients are informed about pick-up and drop-off times * Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times * Possessing a safety focus at all times *SCHEDULE* * Mid Shift - Approximately 12pm to 8pm * Schedule will include Monday and at least one weekend day * Need Full Time (40-50 hours per week) * A minimum of an 8-Hour shift / 5 Days a week * All shifts start and end at Executive Transportation's office in Newport *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* * Ability to lift and maneuver mobility aids, including wheelchairs * Ability to sit for extended hours * Good vision and hearing to ensure safe driving *DRESS CODE* * Dress pants with a button-up shirt and tie * Clean shoes *SALARY* * Starts at $15.
00 / hour * After 60 days pay increases to $16.
