Certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining as required by Kentucky law REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, or designee Director of Transportation JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Obeys all traffic laws Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses Maintains discipline when students are on bus Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority Keeps assigned bus clean Keeps to assigned schedule Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects Fuels bus Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness Discharges students only at authorized stops Exercises responsible leadership when out-of-district school trips Transports only authorized students Reports all accidents and completes required reports Enforces regulations specified in Bus Drivers Manual as approved by the Board of Education Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Days per fiscal year: 181 Days Salary Schedule: BUSD on Classified Position Index FLSA Status: Non-Exempt EVALUATION: Performance of the position will be evaluated annually by an Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, or designee APPROVED: 11/25/80 REVISED: 5/19/03, 10/19/09, 6/1/15, 8/3/15, 6/7/21
