We are looking for an Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, following safety protocols, and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The Operator will also be required to troubleshoot any issues that arise, inspect equipment regularly, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
We are looking for an individual who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic.
*Schedule & Pay*
12 hr shifts that are: 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off; off every other weekend.
Known as the Pitman Schedule.
Week 1: Sat-Sun 1800-0600; Mon- Tue Off; Wed- Thu 1800-0600; Fri.
Off
Week 2: Sat-Sun Off; Mon- Tue 1800-0600; Wed- Thu Off; Fri 1800-0600
Schedule is subject to change.
Compensation is based on call volume, miles driven, and type of service provided.
Essentially every driver will make 1/3 of what the truck makes or 33 percent.
All drivers will be a 1099 employee at this time.
*Responsibilities*
Towing Operations for light and medium duty vehicles under motor club and insurance contracts.
Responded to calls for disabled vehicles, accident tows, Battery Service, Fuel Delivery, Lock-Outs, Tire Service and Winch-Outs/Extractions.
Transporting disabled vehicle to destination of customers choice, repair shop, or junkyard.
Performed pre-delivery vehicle inspections securing loads and assuring required paperwork was in order.
Demonstrated ability to work with customers in stressful situations.
Processed customer payment information including credit cards and cash payments.
Clean accident scenes by clearing debris and ensuring safe environment for motorists.
Honoring service contracts for motor clubs by providing roadside service 24 hours a day.
Ability to drive various kinds of vehicles such as light and medium duty rollbacks/wreckers.
Ability to read and understand written instructions, route directions and maps.
Knowledge of performing vehicle repairs as needed.
Proficiency in following safety protocol for employees and customers under company and state regulations.
Received information about calls via tablet, phone or computer from the dispatcher.
Serviced customers, handling customer complaints, responding to customer requests and meeting customer needs.
Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes and maintain schedule.
Collect payments from customer/clients at the time of product delivery or pick-up.
*Qualifications*
Clean driving record (no accidents, OVI/DUI, or major moving violations)
Able to obtain a DOT card and maintain a current valid operator license in the state they reside.
Must be 25 years old or older (Insurance requirement)
2-3 years of towing experience is preferred.
Work independently with little or no supervision
Customer Service oriented and strong desire to help individuals.
