Math Academic Learning Coach - Early College - Lawrenceburg High School

Description Vincennes University is seeking applicants for a Math Learning Coach.
This is a part-time support staff position located in the Lawrenceburg High School Early College site in Lawrenceburg, IN.
This is a 10-month position.
Duties and Responsibilities Provide academic math tutoring in college algebra and trigonometry for students in a one-on-one, group or classroom setting.
Work closely with in-person Lawrenceburg teachers and online VU professors to monitor the academic progress of students who are struggling with courses in early college.
Assist in-person teachers in the classroom to help students learn material.
Provide supplemental support, as needed, that would enhance student learning.
Evaluate and document student progress in tracking system.
Support the vision of the Early College High School by fostering a college-going culture: Including actively recruitment of students in need of tutoring, delivering student orientations and classroom visits.
Required and Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to develop success study strategies for students to successfully complete courses.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Proven math skills to assist students in college math such as college algebra and trigonometry.
A math proficiency test will be administered to demonstrate math capabilities.
