*REQUIREMENTS*
* Must have 5 years industry experience with at least 2 years recent work experience in the field of Fiber Optics or related field such as Electrical Technologies or Computer Networking.
* Ability to teach adult students how to install, repair and maintain Fiber Optic Systems in communities, homes and commercial buildings.
* Ability to work with adult students of varied ability levels.
* Must possess or qualify for an adult career-technical education teaching permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
* A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Designs meaningful and sequential instruction and relevant learning activities to meet instructional goals.
* Organizes classroom and/or laboratory in a manner that is conducive to learning.
* Assists students in obtaining knowledge and developing personal skills, which will prepare them to be successful in the world of work and in life.
* Promotes and maintains a safe environment as defined by district policies and procedures.
* Incorporates current practices from business, industry and education.
* Involves appropriate representatives from business and industry to support instruction.
* Utilizes technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
* Maintains up to date knowledge of technology utilized by the district.
* Acts in a professional manner at all times and as an effective role model for students.
* Must satisfy all job-related attendance requirements.
*LOCATION:* Scarlet Oaks - Adult Workforce Development
*HOURS:* Monday - Thursday, hours will vary as needed up to 28 hours per week.
*SALARY: *$29.
65 /per hour (Medical/Dental Benefits – not included)
