We are seeking an assistant teacher for an infant or two-year-old classroom.
The infant position is full-time from 9 am to 6 pm and the two-year-old position may be part-time or full-time from 1:45 pm to 6 pm.
Candidate must be 18 years old, a high school graduate and be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in a daycare setting
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Gather observations on children's development and provide individualized support and guidance as needed
- Incorporate educational games, activities, and materials to promote learning in various learning domains
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting helpful
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children
