Position Title: Regional Resource Specialist Division: Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy Work Location: Florence & Covington with Possible Travel to Eight NKY Counties: Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, Pendelton Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: NKYODCP Assistant Director Pay range: $52,000 - $55,000 per year Benefits Included: · Medical Insurance - 100% coverage for a single Individual.

The Northern Kentucky Area Development District (NKADD) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Regional Resource Specialist for the Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy.
This is highly specialized and technical work to provide daily operations to the Northern Kentucky Addiction and Resource Helpline and local government administration.
This position includes interaction with other agency departments and community partners.
This is a direct service position through management of callers or participants who request assistance through a regional helpline where follow-up is a key component of the position.
This position requires weekly contact with social service organizations, police officers, EMS/fire safety personnel, members of the QRTs (Quick Response Teams / Police Social Workers), criminal justice partners as well as other community stakeholders including elected officials.
This position has on-call hours for the daily operations of “The Helpline.
” This position requires proficiency or ability to become proficient in various software and reporting systems and has a wide variety of tasks.
Duties are to be performed under moderate supervision.
This individual will be responsible for in bound and follow-up calls, connections to community resources, reporting, participation in community meetings and outreach including presentations of services.
And works in a variety of settings to maintain consistent contact with participants including office, community, correctional or medical facility and/or transitional living environments.
The Helpline assists individuals, families, and stakeholders to connect to prevention, treatment, disease management, recovery, and reentry services & resources.
The person in this position works with individuals receiving services from providers of multiple social services and other duties as assigned.
Due to the nature of this role, flexibility in scheduling will be key and on-call responsibilities as well as potential non-traditional hours may be required.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience, knowledge, or accomplishment in the substance abuse education / prevention / treatment / recovery / reentry arenas preferred.
Experience with case management database systems, community development, public administration, and capacity or coalition building experience is a plus.
Successful candidates: · Must possess solid organizational, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills as well as relationship building skills.
· Will be strong team players who will also be comfortable and able to work independently.
· The ability to collaborate well with a variety of colleagues, participants, partner agencies and resource providers is necessary.
· Must maintain positive internal and external work relationships and exceptional customer service; a professional demeanor is critical to success in this role.
· Work comfortably with consistent use of computer and phone system as well as other office equipment as well as utilizing mental capabilities to learn new skills and processing new information regarding data and reporting.
· Can perform work indoors in a cubicle type office setting or outdoors at community events, and may require standing, sitting, stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds as well as walking and/or climbing a reasonable number of steps.
· Must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
