FWS - Admissions Assistant
Overview: Cincinnati State is seeking a Federal Work Study Student, eligible for federal aid, to work in the Admissions Office and Welcome Center.
Essential Duties:
This position will be responsible for providing campus tours and communicating with prospective students via phone and in person.
Duties also include assisting staff with scheduling visits, recruitment events, and data entry and management.
This position requires strong verbal communication skills and the ability to pay attention to details.
Hours worked may be completed between 8:00 a.
m.
6:00 p.
m.
(Mon-Thurs) and 8:00 4:30 (Fri).
There is also an occasional need for assistance at evening and weekend recruitment events.
Work includes:
Provide prospective students with campus tours
Call prospective students regarding missing items, next steps and appointment reminders
Assist staff in scheduling individual and group visits
Assist staff with recruitment events (Information Sessions/Open Houses/College Fairs)
Assist staff with data needs for recruitment as well as data entry
Keep inventory of recruitment materials
Assist in the Welcome Center answering phone calls and greeting customers
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have completed a FAFSA for the current school year and have been awarded Federal Work Study.
Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office products, Windows application, and must be comfortable with operating computers.
Must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Must demonstrate financial need.
The hiring of student workers by Cincinnati State is premised on eligibility guidelines for federal work study employment: eligible applicants must be high school graduates or have attained a GED.
Additionally, eligible applicants must be at least 16 years of age on or before the date of hire.

Hourly Pay: $14.
