FWS Student - Office of Registrar
Overview: Cincinnati State is seeking a Federal Work Study Student, eligible for federal aid, to work in the Registrar Office.
Essential Duties: Student employees are expected to perform, but are limited to the following duties:
Answering phones and answering incoming lines from the main registrar office number, screening and referring calls, taking requests for information, answering questions and providing information, and processing varied forms and material for the office of registrar.
General Office duties-data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, linking etc.
Mailing- mass mailing and individual mailings.
Campus deliveries- Delivering materials and paperwork to various offices on campus.
Escorting Visitors- occasionally you may be asked to escort prospective students and parents.
Processing student information into a student database.
Retrieve forms and process them into Perceptive Content and Datatel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
Excellent communication skills- you will be in public relations position callings for you to present information in a variety of manners.
Students must be reliable, accurate, flexible, team player and willing to assist with a variety of tasks as requested by registrar staff members.
Students must be able to maintain confidentiality of records
Excellent keyboarding skills and be computer literate
Previous office/data entry experience preferred
Willingness and ability to learn new software
Ability to articulate web use to non-technical users
Ability to multi-task

The hiring of student workers by Cincinnati State is premised on eligibility guidelines for federal work study employment: eligible applicants must be high school graduates or have attained a GED.
Additionally, eligible applicants must be at least 16 years of age on or before the date of hire.
Must have completed a FAFSA for the current school year
Must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress
Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
Must demonstrate financial need
Hourly Pay: $14/hr.
Federal Work Study (Maximum of 20 hours per week)
