This is a position for an independent learner who can work with limited direct supervision; someone who likes to collaborate, experiment, evaluate and continually improve; and someone who is a flexible problem-solver.
Teaching experience is NOT a requirement, but experience working with or around young people is preferred.
Courses taught will include Computer Software, Robotics, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Welding Technologies, and Engineering Capstone.
*QUALIFICATIONS*:
* Work experience in an engineering-related field and education as outlined below *AND* willingness and ability to complete Ohio’s alternative teacher licensure process, including 24 semester hours of university coursework within 4 years:
* A.
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in the content area and two years of relevant work experience; *OR*
* B.
High school diploma or degree outside the content area and five years of relevant work experience;
* Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
* Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
* Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
* State-issued identification card with photograph;
* History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
* Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
*START DATE*: August 2024
*WORK YEAR*: 185 days (follows Butler Tech campus calendar)
