In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.
The UC Health Hospitalist Group at the Daniel Drake Center for Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation is seeking to fill one (1) full time Assistant Professor of Clinical nighttime (nocturnist) position with our expanding group.
Schedule is 5 on 10 off rotation.
Essential Functions
A faculty member on the clinical track is expected to participate in the clinical and academic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows when applicable; conduct research; and participate in scholarly and other professional or creative activities as determined by Departmental Leadership.
This position will provide hospitalist care across the post-acute care spectrum of LTAC, SNF and ECF patients at the Daniel Drake Center.
Minimum Requirements
MD/DO
Ohio Medical License
Completion of 4-year Hospital Medicine residency training, or 3-year Internal Medicine residency training, or 3-year Family Medicine residency training.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospital Medicine.
One (1) year of experience working in an academic setting after residency, or the equivalent teaching and research experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care.
Individual with demonstrated leadership skills; chief residency training or similar accomplishment during residency training is ideal.
Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in bedside clinical teaching of medical students and residents (emergency medicine as well as other clinical services).
Academic productivity such as original research papers, abstracts, and chapters is also ideal.
