Monday – Thursday
4:45pm – 9:15pm
Saturday and Sunday Split Day
8:45am – 1:00pm or 12:45pm – 5:00pm
The Equestrian Riding Instructor gives horseback riding lessons and instruction to Winton Woods Riding Center visitors.
This job requires a demonstrable skill in horseback riding and knowledge of equestrian management.
Standard practice allows employees to proceed alone on regular duties with questionable situations referred to supervisor or others.
Gives horseback riding lessons and instruction to Farm visitors.
Teaches proper equestrian care and management, proper riding techniques and safety practices.
Ensures riding center facilities and equipment are maintain in proper condition, and horses are cared for properly.
Answers questions and provides information to assist visitors in enjoying riding facilities in a safe manner.
Assists riders get on/off horse, etc.
Ensures public safety and proper treatment of the horses.
Feeds, waters, brushes, and performs other tasks to assist in care of horses.
May assist with the maintenance and repair of tack.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old and completion of high school education,
Previous work or personal experience in equestrian management
Demonstrable skills in horseback riding
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within 3 days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
