Instructional Coordinator
Qualifications
Valid Ohio Teaching License required
Licensed in Teaching area - Reading P-12 endorsement or equivalent required
Five plus years classroom experience preferred
Deep knowledge of reading, writing and literacy development
Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills
Interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, conflict management, collaboration) to share research-based instructional approaches with teachers and administrators, and provide advice, mentoring and coaching
Strong organizational skills
BCI and FBI background checks required
Duties to include:
Guide teachers to collect and analyze data and develop responses to determine student needs.
Provide individualized, classroom-based support to implement a comprehensive program.
This will include modeling of best teaching practices, co-teaching, and co-planning.
Assists with organizing and planning a structured intervention block.
Oversees instructional support personnel.
Attends monthly literacy council meetings at Hamilton County ESC to improve the school comprehensive reading program.
Help administration prepare and present literacy professional development opportunities.
Start Date - August 1, 2024
Compensation - based upon education and experience
184 day contract
Full time position
