Integrated High School Language Arts Instructor
| LOCATION
Temporarily at Fairfield Township Campus for 2024 – 2025; Relocated to Aviation Center in 2025 – 2026 with travel to Manufacturing Center
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic Language Arts Instructor with the flexibility to adapt to various teaching environments while effectively embedding academic curriculum into career technical programming on a competency-based model.
This Instructor will also provide personalized learning to small groups of students with specific needs on designated days.
For the 2024 – 2025 school year this position will design and pilot curriculum integration with Aviation and Engineering labs at Fairfield Township Campus.
In the 2025 – 2026 school year this position will relocate to the newly opened Aviation Center and will travel to the Manufacturing Center to provide a mix of hybrid, face-to-face, and online instruction.
| QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce covering all high school Language Arts course areas required such as Integrated Language Arts (050150) license or Comprehensive Communications (059901);
Experience teaching both academic and career technical content is a plus;
Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance;
History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
| STARTING DATE August 2024
| SALARY Based upon experience and education ($49,667 – 103,605)
| BENEFITS Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; tuition reimbursement
| WORK YEAR Follows a modified calendar of 185 days - 185 days - 7.
