POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Executive Director and in accordance with the Christian mission and purpose of the Great Miami Valley (GMV) YMCA Association, the Program Instructor is responsible for conducting safe, high-quality gymnastics lessons for all program participants.
The Program Instructor, Recreational Gymnastics is also responsible for maintaining a clean gymnastics center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Instructs gymnastics lessons in accordance with GMV YMCA teaching guidelines, having prepared lessons accordingly.
Enforces all gymnastic center/gymnasium rules.
Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate those objectives to participants.
Maintains all instructional equipment, including proper usage and storage of any program materials.
Monitors participants’ performance to make suggestions for improvement and to
ensure safety and knowledge of course standards and objectives.
Maintains records and paperwork as required (i.
e.
attendance, progress reports, etc.
).
Ensures that program and membership standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
Models relationship-building in all interactions.
Schedules, attends, and facilitates, as needed, all required trainings, and branch and association meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications: Current CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certifications preferred.
Must have experience in gymnastics safety and gymnastics skill.
Must have experience teaching to all levels.
Must possess ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, members, and the general public.
Must have knowledge of the YMCA mission and application of core values in providing customer service.
