| GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Project LIFE Instructor will assume responsibility for the delivery of quality education in a combined education and work experience program for students with disabilities.
The instructor will ensure that maximum learning can take place and help special needs students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature and responsible citizens.
| QUALIFICATIONS
Valid licensure through the Ohio Department of Education in Special Education, Intervention Specialist, or Education of the Handicapped (9-12) certificate
Transition to Work (TTW) endorsement or willingness to obtain;
Knowledge of special education methods and laws, with emphasis on classroom and community-based instruction focused on transition to employment, post-secondary training, and adulthood;
Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
Willingness and ability to work with students, parents, job coaches, teachers, business partners, and administrators as a team member;
Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
State-issued driver’s license;
Ohio school van driver certification or willingness to obtain such certification;
History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

| SALARY Based upon experience and education ($49,667 – 103,605)
| BENEFITS Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; tuition reimbursement
| WORK YEAR 185 days - 7.
