ParaProfessional II (part-time MTSS Aide)

Job Title: ParaProfessional II (MTSS Aide) Start Date: ASAP Hours: 5 hours per day - (10:00-3:30) (includes a 30 minute upaid lunch) Description: Harrison Elementary is seeking a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (RTi/Skill-Building) aide to assist students via small group or individualized instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with teachers to carry out Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (RTi, & Skill-Building) program that includes enrichment Mathematics instruction centered around current curriculum and content.
Manage and instruct students in both the small group and individualized setting.
Monitor student progress via data-tracking systems (such as AIMSWeb Plus and NWEA MAP).
Provide instruction via a research-based program or planned instruction by the teacher.
Be able to make adjustments to the instruction planned to meet the needs of our students via individualized strategies for specific students or groups.
Assist with the provision of accommodations and modifications both in and out of the general education classroom as needed.
Work with students on a planned sensory program to provide the activities necessary that will allow students to focus and perform in the classroom.
Other duties as assigned by building administration in collaboration with certified staff.
Qualifications: Must have an aide certificate or teaching license from the state of Ohio (and the ability to pass an FBI/BCI background check).
Patience and understanding when working with students who struggle to master instructional content and the ability to adjust instruction to meet their needs.
The ability to manage small groups of students from both an academic and behavioral/social perspective.
Some familiarity with technology (district email, ability to navigate digital programming and other online activities with training, etc.
).
Education - High School Diploma.
An Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
