The Position: We’re looking for a Student Accounts Team Member!
Responsibilities :The team member in this position must exhibit certain characteristics and perform specific duties during their daily or weekly routine.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Requests federal funds owed to the school based on actual disbursements accepted by the Fame System.
Calculates and processes Return of Title IV (R2T4) for all students.
Works with key individuals and offices related to financial aid reconciliation.
Documents reconciliation procedures and efforts for audit purposes.
Creates communication structure between support center and schools.
Assists in the drawdown and refunds of cash to ensure they are accounted for and applied to the correct program year.
Resolves all outstanding rejected records.
Assists as needed in returning refunds of cash via Fame.
Requests any remaining funds owed to the school based on actual disbursements accepted by the Fame System.
Acts as liaison with other offices and constituents, both on and off campus, to help determine and resolve matters pertaining to reconciliation.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal/state financial aid programs.
Minimum Requirements: The team member in this position must exhibit certain educational and experiential requirements, including:
Demonstrated knowledge of federal/state financial aid programs (Title IV, Sallie Mae and VA loans).
Demonstrated ability to produce detail-oriented work with speed and accuracy.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Analytical abilities as well as working knowledge of basic office computer programs such as Word and Excel.
Student Accounts experience and knowledge of other student services areas valuable.
Experience with Fame Student Software is a plus
The ability to work collegially and collaboratively with other colleagues in the Financial Aid department is expected.
Ability to work with and for individuals from a variety of identities, ethnicities, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
