Applied Behavioral Services in West Chester, OH is seeking a qualified Paraprofessional to co-teach with primary behavior technician working with children on the autism spectrum disorder or related disorders in either a 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 or small group settings within the agency or community following ABA methods and procedures and to facilitate peer interactions when appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and maintain instructional area
Prepare and keep reinforcement and needed materials accessible
Deliver instruction following procedures learned from initial and ongoing training sessions and based on feedback from supervisors
Collect and analyze data accurately following policies and procedures put into place by Applied Behavioral Services
Maintain programming material for all students
Monitor designated child’s IEP/Treatment plan objectives and the progression of goals
Complete quarterly IEP progress reports when assigned by the supervisor
Conduct reinforcer assessments and deliver reinforcement following principles outlined by Applied Behavioral Services
Implement behavior support plans
Identify when interventions are needed for specific children and programs
Complete troubleshooting forms when necessary and implement all interventions direct by the supervisor
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Must possess the ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection and guidance of potentially physically aggressive students during crisis situations.
Must possess the ability to react quickly and be sufficiently mobile to redirect students that could be injurious to themselves or others, i.
e.
stop a child from running out of a building, physically redirect a child with severe behaviors, etc.
Must be able to physically assist with evacuating students during emergency situations.
Must earn and maintain full certification(s) in assigned crisis management programs
